Patients may complete a teeth whitening program at home using a peroxide-based gel placed on the enamel surface using a custom made tray. This process usually takes ten days to complete and should be repeated every year for best results.

Accelerated treatment
Treatment can be accelerated by starting with the application of a concentrated peroxide gel in the clinic. We then apply a high intensity light to activate teeth whitening. However, treatment should be continued at home with the conventional product for at least a week so that the color change will last.

Whitening
Coffee, wine, tea, smoking and certain foods stain the enamel of your teeth leaving you with a dull smile. Visiting your hygienist before doing the whitening and having your teeth cleaned and polished, will remove the stains, allowing a more successful whitening. Having a beautiful smile may be even easier than you think. We offer two types of esthetic tooth whitening procedures: 1) a take home bleaching kit and 2) a 2 hour in-office light activated bleaching program.
Home whitening system
With our take home bleaching kit, impressions of your teeth are taken and custom whitening trays will be prepared. We provide you with a special whitening agent that you place into the trays. With only 30 minutes of wear per day, you can achieve great results. When your teeth reach the brightness you desire, only occasional treatment is needed to maintain your new smile. In cases of extreme tooth discoloration, crowns or veneers may be the only choice. Your hygienist will go over the treatment with you and give you tips on how to avoid the ingestion of the hydrogen peroxide in the bleaching gel.
Light activated whitening system
Dramatically whiter teeth in less than 2 hours! For the in-office bleaching procedure we use highly filtered blue plasma light to enhance the penetration of peroxide based bleaching gel, resulting in changes from 2 to 5 shades in a single two-hour appointment. This process is painless, effective, and long-lasting. To enhance and attain maximum benefit and result from our light activated whitening product, it is essential to continue the whitening at home for 5 to 7 days.
