Cavitations

Cavitations are lesions found in the upper or lower jawbone. They can occur in old extraction sites and near the roots of root canal teeth, and the bacteria found in these sites, produce toxins that travel in the bloodstream and can create asymptomatic focal infections affecting any organ in the body. A cavitation often develops as a result of impaired blood flow and incomplete healing after routine extraction resulting in dead or dying bone.
